Previous musical experience: Allister is a choral and orchestral conductor involved in the planning and presentation of much music in the Geelong region and is active as a teacher, performer and conductor; he is President of the Geelong Music Teachers' Association and holds the position of Cantor at St Mary's Basilica, Geelong; as a clarinetist, Allister has performed with various regional and metropolitan orchestras and ensembles, including the Melbourne Opera Orchestra; as a teacher, he works at Geelong Grammar School, Clonard College and Sacred Heart College, teaching instrumental music and directing various ensembles; Allister is also conductor of the Geelong Community Orchestra since 2005
Choir's past collaborations with other musical groups: Joint performance with Sazanami Mixed Choir (Japan), Gisborne Singers and Geelong Community Orchestra performances, local and regional orchestras, open rehearsal with visiting conductor
