Vision statement / Artistic goals: Education and performance of four part harmony in the Barbershop artform

Voice type: All Female Singers

Choir performs: Unaccompanied

Year Choir formed: 1983

Musical Repertoire: A wide range of songs from Broadway musicals, movie scores, jazz and swing, popular songs from today and yesteryear, Gospel, blues, Australian patriotic package, Christmas Carols

Musical Director: Traci Voss

No. of years in current post: since 2013

Previous musical experience: For over 20 years, Traci Voss has performed with, arranged for, conducted, coached and managed numerous musical groups from all musical genres including Brass Bands, Stage Musicals and Choirs; she holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts (Theatre Studies) from the University of Otago and has taught music privately; Traci came to Sweet Adelines in 2006 as the Director of Dunedin Harmony Chorus and soon became a singing member of Christchurch City Chorus, both in New Zealand; Traci has competed regionally, winning gold medals with each chorus in 2012 and internationally, winning a 9th place international medal with Christchurch City Chorus in 2007

Audition: Yes - sing 2 songs, demonstrated ability to hold a part

Minimum Attendance policy - Rehearsals: Yes Concerts: Yes

Membership Fees: $50 per month for 12 months p.a.

Ability to read music: Desirable

Sight-reading ability: Not necessary
