Previous musical experience: Bachelor of Music from the Conservatorium of Melbourne, where he focused on historical traditions of group music making in various folk cultures; drawing from his particular expertise and interest in Ethnomusicology, Joe uses material from many Western and Eastern musical traditions to explore aspects of the human voice that are unfamiliar or uncommon in a choral context

Choir's past collaborations with other musical groups: The Choir has previously recorded and performed with Gabriella Cohen on her record "Pink Is The Colour of Unconditional Love", performed with Hello Satellites, and sung on the soundtrack of an independent film, "Some Happy Day"
