Vision statement / Artistic goals: A quality amateur singers' organisation performing in public and competing at regional and national Barbershop conventions with a continuously improving standard

Choir performs: Unaccompanied

Musical Repertoire: As well as distinctive Barbershop arrangements of evergreen songs from the vaudeville era, the chorus has a special repertoire of doo-wop and modern a capella pop chart favourites from the 50's through to the modern day which will appeal to a wide audience

Musical Director: Robert Simpson

Previous musical experience: Experienced classical singer, vocal teacher, quartet coach and leads a number of children's school choirs

Choir's past collaborations with other musical groups: Joint concerts with Southern Sounds Sweet Adelines Chorus, Bel Canto Choir and Frankston Ladies Choir

JOINING REQUIREMENTS

Audition: Yes - own choice of any 2 songs learned from the chorus repertoire and sung in quartet formation without a musical score; auditions happen after members have attended enough rehearsals to feel confident with the pieces - no time limit

Minimum Attendance policy - Rehearsals: No Concerts: No

Membership Fees: $80 per quarter

Ability to read music: Desirable but not necessary

Sight-reading ability: Desirable but not necessary
