Vision statement / Artistic goals: BC/GC is a choir for everyone, regardless of age, background of beliefs; anybody who loves to sing is welcome; they sing a variety of music, from gospel through to soul, pop, African material and world sounds, focusing on finding a personal connection to the music and singing with joy

Musical Directors: Loz Irwin-Ray and Reuben Legge

Previous musical experience: Loz Irwin-Ray: In the Melbourne music scene, Loz works as a vocalist, double bassist, electric bassist, pianist, choir director, performer, composer, educator, arranger, session musician and curator; Loz typically plays and writes in genres including folk, jazz, improvisation, blues, pop, funk and neo-soul; Loz is a graduate of the Monash University Music Performance degree where she specialised in jazz

Reuben Legge: Reuben is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist active in the Melbourne contemporary music and jazz scene; he plays saxophone, keyboard and sings in ‘Belly Savalas’ and ‘Ukulele Death Squad’, as well as composing and arranging instrumental and vocal parts; Reuben graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Music Performance in 2015, and has a passion for singing and listening to gospel music; he now teaches saxophone and flute at Bentleigh Secondary College and Tintern Grammar

Choir's past collaborations with other musical groups: BC/GC have performed as a part of the Brunswick Music Festival, and with UBUNTU (African Children's Choir)

Membership Fees: $130 Full/$110 Conc per term, or $17 Casual attendance
