Vision statement / Artistic goals: To promote and encourage vocal harmony and good fellowship among Chorus members; to promote public appreciation of barbershop harmony; to encourage and promote the education of Chorus members and the public in music appreciation

Musical Repertoire: Four-part a cappella harmony but not exclusively in the Barbershop style

Choir's past collaborations with other musical groups: The Melbourne Chorus, East City Sound, Southern Sounds, Vocal Vibes, Geelong Harmony (all Sweet Adelines); Western Melbourne Men's Chorus; Phoenix Harmony Chorus (part of Melbournaires Club), Vocal Infusion (a mixed chorus also part of the Melbournaires Club)

 

JOINING REQUIREMENTS

Audition: Yes - sing 2 nominated songs in the appropriate voice part, as part of a quartet, from memory

Minimum Attendance policy - Rehearsals: Yes Concerts: Yes

Membership Fees: $85/quarter

Ability to read music: Not necessary

Sight-reading ability: Not necessary

Performance Apparel: Tailored blue jacket with blue collared dress shirt, Chino pants, reversable leather belt, tan Boat shoes (all provided free-of-charge to paid-up members); also, casual performance attire of black trousers, navy blue short-sleeve, Polo shirt, reversable leather belt, black socks and black shoes (only the Polo shirt is supplied but at a nominal charge)
